On April 16, "Lao FengXiang",
pedant-maker, donated pedants specially-designed for commemorating braveness
and kindness of Shanghai Medics once active at Wuhan to combat against COVID-19.
The donation was done at a ceremony
hosted right at Nanjing Road (E) Squareby SWF and Medical Health Commission,
Huang-Pu Division. Gao Yun, secretary-general ofCPC Huangpu Division, Xu Feng,
SWF chairperson, and Wang Luning, president of Shanghai Children's Foundation
attended the donation ceremony.
Gao highly spoke of those medics, who
answered a call at first time to work together withmedical colleagues at Wuhan
against COVID-19 by making a light of their own lives and difficulties ahead of
them. Xu of SWF presented the pedant-maker an honor issued by All-China Women's
Federation. 13 representatives selected came to the spot to receive the donation.
At the Ceremony, all VIPs went to the floor to honor the donation together with
Shi Lihua, president of "Lao Feng-Xiang".
The story behind the donation was that the
pedant-maker specially designed and made 1649 pedants for 1649 medics once
worked in Wuhan against COVID-19 with each numbered at a total value of 9.5642
million yuan. A pedant listed "0000" was presented to Shanghai History Museum
for collection. Out of the total, 331 medics were from nine hospitals located
at Huangpu District. After the ceremony, VIPs went to Huashan, Ruijing, Renji
and Shuguang hospitals to honor medics in shifts by pinging each of the medics
with donated pedant.
