On November 7, the 1st Shanghai Women Educational Capability Competition was completed at Shanghai Open University.
Zuo Zhihong from East China Normal University won the championship, defeating other 38 contestants from East China Normal University, Tongji University, Shanghai Normal University and Women School of Shanghai Open University.
Yang Ping from Shanghai Open University commented on the contestants on behalf of the judges. He saw high-level educational capabilities among the contestants, featuring clear logical clues, precise language expression, interactive forms, and encouragements for the students. He suggests the contestants to give more attention to female students in their future education, develop their work based on the female students' needs and characteristics, and thus improve their education through repeated reflections.
Weng Wenlei, vice chairperson of SWF, Zhang Jin, vice president of Shanghai Open University, and Xiao Hui, vice president of Women School at Tongji University granted awards to the winners. The champion Zuo Zhihong expressed her gratitude to SWF, and saw the competition a great platform for female teachers to show what they can do, communicate and exchange with their fellows for further improvement.
Weng of SWF commented favorably on the contestants, and called their more attention on equality between men and women in their daily education, so as to help more women shape their independent consciousness and improve their career skills.
