Parent-child Interacted Initiative for Families out of Town

A caring initiative for the migrant families in Shanghai was launched by Shanghai Women's Federation (SWF) at a primary school in Minghang District on October 13.

To help the parents of migrant families better communicate with their kids, the initiative held a series of parent-child interactive games, family education lectures and children's games. More than 900 primary students and their parents attended the activities, and appreciated the kindness provided in Shanghai--their second hometown.

Guided by the tutors, children participated in games together with their parents, which led them to arrive at its highlight with laughing and yelling full of the school campus.

A lecture on "Code for Happy Family" listed a couple of good cases in encouraging parents to spend quality-time with their children and manage their emotions at home, which brightened many parents' visions. During the one-hour lecture, every parent was so attentive and more than eager to share with each their feedbacks. Enlightened by the lecture, many parents were determined to do their best in offering their children an intermat environment to grow up.

The migrant families who attended the event expressed their gratitude to SWF and the community which offered them a sense of belonging in the cooling autumn of Shanghai.
