On September 4, Shanghai Women's Federation (SWF) hosted a meeting to announce a new round of Women Pace-setters and Units recognition for 2017-2018 kicked-off by Weng Wenlei, vice chairperson of SWF. The Meeting was chaired by Wang Jianzhang, vice chairperson of SWF with a group of SWF staff attended.
Weng called for a clean project in recommending, assessing and recognizing a team of new Women Pace-setters and Units. She said that the project would certainly be a showcase to demonstrate how career women played a big role in the advancement to reach a goal of economic development and livelihood of higher quality. She asked her staff to be open-minded and locate more candidates from grass-roots.
The word confirmed that SWF tended to locate more candidates from important lines related with "Five Centers Development Drive" and "Four Time-Brands Drive" and from workplaces with poor environment. It was expected in the coming year of 2019 to recognize 600 Women Pace-setters, including 10 Pace-Setters, 10 Pace-Setter candidates and 200 Pace-setter Units.
