Shanghai-Taiwan Seminar on Enhancement of Family Tradition and Family Education Held

A Shanghai-Taiwan Seminar on Enhancement of Family Tradition and Family Education was held on July 20 at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. 50 professionals from Shanghai and Taiwan attended the seminar to exchange their views on family tradition and education.

Li Rong, standing member of CPPCC Shanghai Branch, attended the seminar and delivered a speech.

Themed with general practices in family tradition and education and enhancement of family culture in the transitional period, four researchers from Shanghai and Taiwan reported at the seminar. Topics include "Environment for Shanghai children's growth from perspective of parent-child relation and educational expectation from the parents" by Yang Xiong of Shanghai Academy of Social Science, "A general picture of community-based family education in Taiwan" by Lin Xinru from Taiwan Normal University, "Practices in community-based family cultural enhancement in Taiwan" by Wang Zhaolan from Tai Dong Family Education Center and "Social workers and family culture construction" by Shen Juan from the Volunteer Service Guidance Center in Jinshan District.
