Charity Show Held in 2018 to Mark "Future-Star Project"

On June 27, a charity show was jointly held by Shanghai Children's Foundation (SCF) and Shanghai Charity Foundation to mark their joint project to train youngsters equipped with dance and sing skills based on a donation from the local community.

Yang Dinghua, president of the SCF, Xu Feng and Liu Qi, chairpersons of SWF and Shi Nanchang, vice president of SCF attended the evening show and issued prizes to the best trainees, tutors and volunteers during the show. Pupils from Shanghai YK Bao School, Shanghai Blind School and Musical Team for Children with Autism joined the performance for charity. Their singing and graceful dancing touched the hearts of audience, who donated their contribution to keep the project going.

What is more, a group of popular elites as Ma Yili, Lu Yi, Jin Wei and Li Chengchu were invited to be Charity Ambassadors to SCF. Few private business companies and individual donators came to make donations to the charity show as well.

It is reported that "Future Star" Project is designed to help the economically- poor families to send their kids to have professional training for singing, dancing and drama at China Welfare Institute free of charge. The project has been running for four years now. Training course will offer the trainees 15 classes each and up to now, 434 kids have been benefited and 2000 children out of town benefited with the program designed for them.
