On March 13, a team of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation from Japan visited Shanghai Women's Federation (SWF).
Li Rong, vice chairperson of SWF, received the team and had a chat with them. Zhu Qianwei, from Shanghai Commission for the Advancement of Women and Children and Bao Leiping from Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences were also present at the meeting.
During the conversation, Li extended her welcome to the team and briefed them how SWF did to facilitate an equity between women and man and protect women and children's legal rights in Shanghai.
Zhu from the local commission addressed the group the current agendas and their roles in improving women and children's social status.
The team from Japan enjoyed its visit with the recognition of the city's achievement in women and children's affairs. The group extended an invitation to SWF to carry on an exchange between the Chinese and Japanese colleagues in the days to come.
